2. Heritage places- When it comes to heritage places in Jalandhar, the discussion would remain incomplete if we miss Devi Talab Mandir and Gurdwara Chhevin Padshahi. Situated at the heart of the Jalandhar City, the present Devi Talab mandir is the renovated one. In its centre, a new temple has been built. In recent years, a model of Amarnath Yatra has also been built in the premises. Also, an old temple of goddess Kali stands by the side of the Devi Talab. Gurdwara Chhevin Padshahi in Basti Shaikh, is built on the spot where Guru Hargovind visited to offer teachings to a Muslim holy saint popularly known as Shaikh Darvesh. The great Guru had in depth discussion with the Shaikh Darvesh to offer him spiritual enlightenment in divine matters.
3. St. Mary’s Cathedral Church- It is an age- old church dedicated to St. Patrick. Established by Rev. Fr. John Macodnnel, Q.F.M.CAP of the Vicariate Apostolic of Agra, in 1947, the church is maintained by various chaplains appointed to Jalandhar from the Diocese of Lahore. After the partition in 1955, the Catholic Mission of the Indian Punjab was raised to the status of Apostolic Prefecture. Presently, the church has its headquarter at Jalandhar. The part of the church at Jalandhar Cantonment has now been venerated as the Cathedral, popularly known as the Mother Church of Punjab.
4. Fun parks- Fun parks around the city of Jalandhar are considered as the major attraction here. The government and private organizations have taken effective steps to build up fun parks to provide fun and amusement galore to tourists. These fun parks are located in different areas of Jalandhar.
